Algae: Good for the Environment? The Climate?

Energy Blog provides us with this look at an ingenious use of algae to kill two birds with one stone: produce fuel and reduce greenhouse gas.

The Christian Science Monitor has more.
Here is a link provided by Energy Blog to a competing group attempting to accomplish the same results with algae.

Those of you who follow the links on the sidebar already understand that the climate story is far more interesting and complex than the less than intelligent reports of the main stream media would have people believe. Here is an article about how trees affect the climate. This report discusses methane release from plants, up to 30% of annual methane release. We know that methane is a much stronger greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide.
