Dennis Mangan Returns: A Blog Awakens

Mangan's, the notable blog by Dennis Mangan which will be 9 years old next March, has been awakened from a deep sleep. Here are links to his three most recent pieces, as of this writing:

The piece -- "Violent crimes against whites: some evidence" -- links to an important piece from judicial watch, which helps fill some huge gaps in reporting left vacant by the skankstream media:

The rate of violent crime increased by a whopping 17% last year, according to the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS), marking the biggest jump since 1993. Property crimes also went up 11% last year. That means that in 2011 there were nearly 6 million violent victimizations and more than 17 million property victimizations, according to the DOJ figures.

...Here are more unsettling statistics buried deep in the DOJ’s new crime report; there has been a large increase in the rate of violent victimizations for whites, Hispanics and younger people. That means white non-Hispanics and Hispanics experienced an increase in violent victimization rates, while the rate for black non-Hispanics was stable, according to the DOJ stats.

Additionally, crime rate in the suburbs is growing much faster than in the cities or rural areas, the government figures show. In 2011 suburbanites suffered a 20% in violent victimizations, according to the DOJ. Keep in mind that the feds admit in their report that the figures are probably much higher since only about 50% of violent victimizations were reported to police.

This is the sad legacy of Obama's crusade to turn America into a larger version of Chicago.

This information helps substantiate what earlier government statistics had shown:

Blacks are seven times more likely than people of other races to commit murder, and eight times more likely to commit robbery.
When blacks commit crimes of violence, they are nearly three times more likely than non-blacks to use a gun, and more than twice as likely to use a knife.
Hispanics commit violent crimes at roughly three times the white rate, and Asians commit violent crimes at about one quarter the white rate.
The single best indicator of violent crime levels in an area is the percentage of the population that is black and Hispanic.

Interracial Crime

Of the nearly 770,000 violent interracial crimes committed every year involving blacks and whites, blacks commit 85 percent and whites commit 15 percent.
Blacks commit more violent crime against whites than against blacks. Forty-five percent of their victims are white, 43 percent are black, and 10 percent are Hispanic. When whites commit violent crime, only three percent of their victims are black.
Blacks are an estimated 39 times more likely to commit a violent crime against a white than vice versa, and 136 times more likely to commit robbery.
Blacks are 2.25 times more likely to commit officially-designated hate crimes against whites than vice versa.

Gangs

Only 10 percent of youth gang members are white.
Hispanics are 19 times more likely than whites to be members of youth gangs. Blacks are 15 times more likely, and Asians are nine times more likely. _Color of Crime (PDF)

If Obama is re-elected to a second term, these statistics are likely to worsen over time, as the underlying problems within US black communities continue to be avoided by politically correct, corrupt politicians and bureaucrats of the leftist persuasion.

He's Baaaack! Dennis Mangan Returns!

Dennis Mangan has a new post up on his resurrected blog. He still doesn't know why his blog was deleted for this past week. No explanations have been forthcoming from Google.

This episode should be a warning to all bloggers: you can be shut down, one way or another. Always back up your blog regularly, and be ready to move to a new host if your present host proves unreliable or disagreeable.

Blogging is literally a world-changing phenomenon. It is one of the main ways a lot of people keep up with the hundreds of relevant and rapidly changing parameters of their lives.

Even when we're only joking, it is serious business.

Dennis Mangan's Blog is "Disappeared" by Google

Well-respected blogger Dennis Mangan woke up one day last week to discover his blog missing. What happened? The great and powerful Google deleted Dennis' blog. Why? No one knows -- and Google isn't saying. More from Steve Sailer.

Anyone who maintains a Google blog (including blogspot and blogger), needs to understand how vague and inappropriate Google's terms of service are, regarding how, why, when, and where it may choose to delete a blogger's intellectual property.

3. A window should come up with a list of links in it (make sure to choose "Links" in the top left, instead of "Pictures and Embedded" in the top middle).
4. Create a directory to save your files in.
5. Uncheck all the checkboxes.
6. Type the following in the fast filtering area:

7. Click Start.
8. After a while you'll get an error message about duplicate files -- choose to ignore/skip all such for "this session".

Boycott Al Fin Blog For The Month of July!

Image SourceYes, you read the title correctly. Al Fin is recommending that you not read any Al Fin postings in July. Instead, you should devote a bit of time each day to read the master's thesis by David J. Tamm entitled "The Reinvigoration of the West through Outer Space Development." You can download a PDF version of the thesis.

Tamm's thesis takes a rather clear look at many of the underlying reasons for the current stagnation and malaise that dominates modern western culture. In fact, you can be excused for thinking that Al Fin himself wrote large sections of the thesis, so many of Tamm's ideas parallel Fin's thoughts so closely.

The long term survival of the human race is uncertain, given recent demographic trends. The transcendence from earth-bound humans into a space-faring race of wise and intelligent creatures is even less probable. For humans to grow from their current quasi monkeyhood into truly sapient creatures, they need to meet and overcome huge challenges.

But modern western culture is more about avoiding challenges and embracing the stagnant quagmire of mediocrity. The current US government wants to turn the US into a comfortable retirement home much like Europe. A world run by government bureaucracy, where CYA and groupthink replace all innovative and creative thought. A heaven for leftists and Obama zombies.

What use do mediocre government bureaucrats have for outer space? It's just too hard, too expensive, too dangerous. Let's just create and expand more social programs instead! Governments thrive on malaise and dependency. Primitive level humans accept such a master-slave relationship all too easily.

Respected Technology Blogger / Journalist Roland Piquepaille Dies Suddenly in Paris of Gastrointestinal Virus

Roland Piquepaille was a columnist for ZD Net, and ran his own technology blog as well. His work was of the highest quality, and his contribution will be missed.

Roland passed away Monday in Paris. He was hit with a digestive virus that lead to a high fever and health complications beyond that. Suzanne said that the doctors are still trying to quantify how Roland got the virus and the exact details.

In China, This is Called a "Blogging Accident"

Public protests against government corruption and abuse of power inside China are becoming more common. The Chinese government does not like anyone to make this state of public dissatisfaction known to the outside world.

A Chinese blogger has been beaten to death by Government authorities for the crime of attempting to record a protest on his mobile phone.

When Wei was present at some sort of confrontation or protest by local villages against municipal authorities when more than 50 municipal inspectors turned on him, attacking him for five minutes.

According to CNN, the killing has sparked outrage in China, “with thousands expressing outrage in Chinese Internet chat rooms, often the only outlet for public criticism of the government.”
