Obama Makes All American Blacks Look Bad

Humans tend to be "purposeful systems," who sub-consciously (and sometimes consciously) adopt goals and formulate plans toward a goal or an ideal.

Any human-created systems can be characterized as "purposeful system" when it's "members are also purposeful individuals who intentionally and collectively formulate objectives and are parts of larger purposeful systems".^[5] Other characteristics are:

• "A purposeful system or individual is ideal-seeking if... it chooses another objective that more closely approximates its ideal".^[6]
• "An ideal-seeking system or individual is necessarily one that is purposeful, but not all purposeful entities seek ideals",^[6] and
• "The capability of seeking ideals may well be a characteristic that distinguishes man from anything he can make, including computers".^[7]

We cannot become better than our own image of the ideal. If our picture of the perfect is distorted and corrupted, so will our own paths through life be distorted and corrupted.



Obama makes blacks look bad in the same way that Mohammed makes Muslims look bad, Hitler made Nazis look bad, and Mao made Maoists look bad.

When Russians set Putin as their ideal, they cannot become better Russians than Putin. When American blacks set Obama as their ideal, it will be most difficult for them grow beyond the narcissistic and otherwise limited dimensions of their ideal.

But for most American blacks, the problem is much worse than being limited by a corrupted ideal. American blacks not only see Obama as an ideal, they also see him as a saviour and redeemer. Specifically, they tend to believe in a "salvation by faith," rather than a "salvation by works." In other words, most American blacks believe that Obama will save them just by his existence as president -- without any significant effort on their own part to improve themselves. Most humans prefer to receive benefits for little effort on their own part, of course.

Such a dysfunctional belief in an effortless salvation would be bad enough if it were held by a more competent, intelligent, less impulsive, and less violent group. But in the case of African descended blacks, such a blind belief in a saviour figure is disastrous. And if that saviour figure happens to be a narcissist ideologue such as Obama -- with many strong notions but few skills or competencies -- blacks are in a serious pickle.

Goal-setting and intentionality are important ways in which humans can improve their lot in life. If the mechanisms of goal-setting, purposefulness, and intentionality, are diverted and corrupted by dysfunctional ideals and and false premises and beliefs, the entire life's trajectory becomes dysfunctional and malfunctional.

Dangerous Children are brought up to understand that they themselves are responsible for who they are to become. They are not likely to look to others to save them from themselves and their poorly set life trajectories.

It is never too late to have a dangerous childhood.

Sales of guns and ammunition continue to spike to unprecedented levels, as US citizens confront a number of possibilities over the next weeks, months, and years.

Angry tweeters have been threatening violent insurrection and assassination, should Romney win the US presidential election next week. And now media celebrities such as Bill Maher, and Richard Belzer are speaking for America's blacks -- warning voters not to vote for Romney "or else."

The pro-Obama movement has always been emotional in nature, without significant reasoning or rationale. And we see in the only Obama election that has been closely contested, the true emotional colours of Obama and his supporters coming out in full display.

Obama recently assured his supporters that "voting is the best revenge." But revenge for what? Having the audacity to run against or vote against someone who has been arguably the worst US President in history?

Voting machines in a number of swing states have been caught changing votes which were originally cast for Romney into votes for Obama. Military ballots for overseas US servicemen have been "lost" or "disqualified" in a number of Democratic Party controlled precincts.

Obama campaign and Democratic Party campaign workers have been caught advising voters how to vote multiple times for Obama -- even in multiple states! In one Houston precinct, NAACP campaign workers took over a polling station, guiding voters through the process with the implicit consent of the poll judges. And why do Democratic Party legislators and activists work so hard to eliminate all identity check safeguards at polling places?

These are things one would expect to see in a Chicago election, of course. But in a national US presidential election, a neutral observer could be excused for thinking that things may have gotten a bit out of hand. And they would be right about that. But do not expect any significant coverage of these election issues from the skankstream media. "Speak no evil of Obama or of those who act in his name," is the media watchword.

In light of the above irregularities, and others likely to emerge in the coming days and weeks, one might also begin to understand recent trends in gun sales across the US.

Americans are divided between persons who produce -- farmers, engineers, technologists, physicians, scientists, accountants, construction workers, etc -- and those who mainly consume, carp, and agitate on the public dole, in other words "moochers". The latter group is overwhelmingly in the Obama camp, while members of the former group often do not have enough time away from primary responsibilities to keep a close eye on the shenanigans that the parasite classes are up to.

Things could become very interesting if large groups of people decide that "their candidate" had been cheated out of winning the election by dirty tricks. Even if a more dispassionate reality suggests that "their candidate" lost the election because his dirty tricks were not quite dirty enough.

Since 1960, the percentage of the population that is over age 15 and unmarried increased by nearly half, 45 percent from 32 percent. Since 1976, the percentage of American women who did not have children by the time they reached their 40s doubled, to nearly 20 percent.

In 2008, singles helped put Obama over the top, something widely recognized by party leaders. This summer’s surge in Obama’s ratings also derived largely from his growing appeal to single voters, and particularly women.

This reliance on single and childless voters could transform the Democratic party in the years ahead.

...But the Single Nation’s grip on power may not be sustainable for more than a generation. After all they, by definition, will have no heirs. This, notes author Eric Kauffman, hands the long-term advantage to generally more conservative family-oriented households, who often have two or more offspring. President Obama's reign has had a depressing effect on US birthrates -- much like the depressing effect it has had on the US economy as a whole.

U.S. births fell for the fourth year in a row, the government reported Wednesday, with experts calling it more proof that the weak economy has continued to dampen enthusiasm for having children. _Baby Bust

Women choose not to have marry and have children for a variety of reasons, including a lack of faith in the future. A depressed sense of the future may be due to economic or environmental beliefs, personal /emotional forebodings, radical feminist ideology, or to a vague spiritual void in the lieu of anything real to believe in.

Many of these women will grow to regret their current ideological stubborness and blind faith. But a significant number of them will simply grow old, embittered, and shrivel into ugly husks of their younger, more promising selves.

Dead end or no, they too are a part of the larger circle of life and death. Just hope that they do not cast too many votes for Obama in the coming November US elections. Zombies, as we know, do not understand the concept of honour.

Government Unions to Taxpayers: "Me Master! You Slave!"

One can see the economic future of at least half the states and cities of the US, by looking at California. Nowhere in the US is the power of unions so total and uncontested, and nowhere is the Democratic Party so dominant. And nowhere in the US is the economic future so rutted into a predictable  path to total collapse. The complete fusion of government unions with the US Democratic Party presents a picture of corruption and an apparent impossibility for meaningful reform which staggers the logical mind.

The Democratic Party has folded Sacramento into one of the tightest one-party grips in contemporary American politics. In November, bucking the national trend, Democrats in California won not just the governorship but 51 Assembly seats to Republicans’ 29, 24 state Senate seats to Republicans’ 14, and every statewide office. With the passage of a referendum lowering the number of legislative votes required to approve a state budget (from a two-thirds majority to a simple majority), California is that rarest of land masses for the 2011 Democratic Party: conquered territory. State Democrats have freedom to rule virtually unchallenged by the scattered, rusticated Republicans.

As 72-year-old Jerry Brown enters his second governorship, he has an agenda to match that power, with visions even greater than those that haunted his two-term administration of the 1970s and ’80s: building 20,000 megawatts of renewable power, laying a new high-speed rail network that will connect the state’s major cities, forging a statewide infrastructure for alternative energy, hiring thousands of green employees. The new governor’s environmental agenda is ambitious, untenably expensive, and indelibly popular with voters and lawmakers.

Yet when Brown looks out on Democrat-controlled California, he seems less like Caesar at the Rubicon than Wojciech Jaruzelski at the Gdansk Shipyard. Brown is champion of a workers’ party with monopoly control, yet all his plans are being derailed by a labor movement nobody can harness. _Reason

The unions’ political triumphs have molded a California in which government workers thrive at the expense of a struggling private sector. The state’s public school teachers are the highest-paid in the nation. Its prison guards can easily earn six-figure salaries. State workers routinely retire at 55 with pensions higher than their base pay for most of their working life. Meanwhile, what was once the most prosperous state now suffers from an unemployment rate far steeper than the nation’s and a flood of firms and jobs escaping high taxes and stifling regulations. This toxic combination—high public-sector employee costs and sagging economic fortunes—has produced recurring budget crises in Sacramento and in virtually every municipality in the state. _CityJournal

California may be more beholden to government unions than most US states, but it is far from alone. Michigan, Ohio, New Jersey, Illinois, New York, and a score of other states are deeply wrapped within the web of government union power, and may find it ultimately impossible to escape doom.

...public-sector workers are spoiled rotten. Government employees earn 21% more than private ones and are 24% more likely to have access to health care. Only 21% of private workers enjoy a defined-benefit (DB) pension, which guarantees retirement income based on years of service and final salary. But 84% of state and local workers still receive DB plans.

All this might be grand if states and cities could afford it, but they cannot; unlike the federal government, they have the pesky obligation to balance their budgets. The recession has already drained pension funds. _Economist

US governments are corrupted by ties to government unions from the top to the bottom. Good government is impossible under these conditions, much less a viable economic plan for commercial prosperity.

The enslavement of taxpayers by government unions is virtually complete in California, and at least a handful of other states. But the Obama government wants to put every US state into the same position as California and Illinois. It is not clear that the nation could recover from such a disastrous plan, if achieved.

Somewhere in a Washington DC asylum, a lunatic who believes he is Barack H Obama is busy writing yet another autobiographical account of his short life.  The US elections of November 2010, and a recent media release of internal US State Department diplomatic correspondence, should provide some excellent -- though unsolicited -- grist for the book mill. What do others think about what the cables reveal?

The cables, in sum, reveal an American administration that refuses to look at the facts on the ground, even when friendly governments rub the noses of American diplomats into them. Obama is beyond reality; he has become the lunatic who thinks that he is Barack Obama. _Spengler_via_ReverseSpins

American foreign policy turned delusional when Barack Obama took office, and the latest batch of leaks suggest that the main source of the delusion is sitting in the Oval Office.

...The initial reports suggest that the US State Department has massive evidence that Obama's approach - "engaging" Iran and coddling Pakistan - has failed catastrophically. The crisis in diplomatic relations heralded by the press headlines is not so much a diplomatic problem - America's friends and allies in Western and Central Asia have been shouting themselves hoarse for two years - but a crisis of American credibility.

Not one Muslim government official so much as mentioned the issues that have occupied the bulk of Washington's attention during the past year, for example, Israeli settlements. The Saudis, to be sure, would prefer the elimination of all Israeli settlements; for that matter, they would prefer the eventual elimination of the state of Israel. In one conversation with a senior White House official, Saudi King Abdullah stated categorically that Iran, not Palestine, was his main concern; while a solution to the Arab/Israeli conflict would be a great achievement, Iran would find other ways to cause trouble.

...How do we explain the gaping chasm between Obama's public stance and the facts reported by the diplomatic corps? The cables do not betray American secrets so much as American obliviousness. The simplest and most probable explanation is that the president is a man obsessed by his own vision of a multipolar world, in which America will shrink its standing to that of one power among many, and thus remove the provocation on which Obama blames the misbehavior of the Iranians, Pakistanis, the pro-terrorist wing of the Saudi royal family, and other enemies of the United States.

Never underestimate the power of nostalgia. With a Muslim father and stepfather, and an anthropologist mother whose life's work defended Muslim traditional society against globalization, Obama harbors an overpowering sympathy for the Muslim world. He is not a Muslim, although as a young child he was educated as a Muslim in Indonesian schools. His vision of outreach to the Muslim world, the most visible and impassioned feature of his foreign policy, draws on deep wells of emotion. _Spengler

The lunatic who believes he is Obama contains many deep wells of emotion, and little else. Besides his deep well of emotion connecting him to the Muslim world, is his deep well of emotion connecting him to third world liberation movements, and the deep wells of emotion containing unbridled hatred toward capitalism and anything European. Any deep wells of emotion he may have regarding his wife Michelle, or anyone else who has managed to get reasonably close to him, might best remain unexplored. Like the Wikileaked documents, many people may not like what is revealed by such explorations.

This lunatic's delusions might have been better left undisturbed altogether, if not for the unbounded stupidity of voters within a growing Idiocracy.

Public-sector unions aren't protecting government workers against abuse; they're inflicting abuse on the rest of us -- because private workers pay for all the government jobs by losing their own jobs and with higher taxes. _NYP

Public sector unions are sucking the blood out of the private sector.

Thirty years ago the vast majority of union workers were in the private sector. Public employees in unions reached parity with private sector members by 2009. This was aided in part by campaign contributions from the unions to elect Democratic Party candidates and generous pay packages and retirement plans passed by those same politicians in return.

By 2010, the general public received a series of shocks. The first shock was the jobless recovery of the Great Recession that cost 8 million jobs. Most of the job losses occurred in the private sector yet the majority of the $800 billion Stimulus Bill went to “save and create” public sector employment. The second shock was learning that civil servants earned twice that of private workers. According to the Bureau of Economic Analysis, Federal workers received average pay and benefits of $123,049 while private workers made $61,051 in total compensation. The third shock was revelation of incredible retirement plans doled out by politicians since 1999. In 2002, California passed SB 183 that allowed police and safety workers to retire after 30 years on the job with 3% of salary for each year of service, or 90% of their last year’s pay. During the Great Recession, fireman began retiring with $150,000 pensions at age 52 despite a life expectancy approaching 80. In Orange County CA, lifeguards, deemed safety workers, retired with $147,000 annual pensions. The Orange County sheriff, recently convicted of witness tampering, will receive $215,000 annually while in jail. Bob Citron, the Treasurer of Orange County who pushed the county into bankruptcy in the 1990s, receives a pension of $150,000 per year. A tsunami of anger and resentment is building. _NG

At a time when nearly one in 10 American workers is unemployed, here’s a crew ...who are guaranteed jobs for life, teach only a few hours a week, routinely get entire years off, dump grading duties onto graduate students and produce “research” on subjects like “Rednecks, Queers and Country Music” or “The Whatness of Books.” Or maybe they stop doing research altogether....dropping their workweek to a manageable dozen hours or so, all while making $100,000 or more a year... _NYT

As US interest rates inevitably rise, every additional $trillion that Obama adds to the national debt will be felt by all but the richest Americans. Eventually even Obama zombies will mutter Obama's name as a curse, like everyone else.

A Late Comprehending of Obama's Incompetence

You would have to go farther back in history than Herbert Hoover to find a US president as incompetent as Obama. But far worse than his incompetence is his unshakable belief in his own destiny to determine the fate of the world according to his inner whimsies.

Withal, this president seems overwhelmingly confident, strangely detached,....'cold and faux eloquent.' He is fluent and sonorous, but rather vapid.

Unemployment rose in 43 states in December 09. The state of California is on the brink of economic collapse. Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, and several other Obama strongholds are not far behind. Even the labour unions -- among Obama's staunchest supporters -- cannot escape the fallout of incompetence emanating from ground zero of Doombama. Consequently, union membership is growing among government employees but falling in the productive sector -- where everyone is suffering.

The middle class has always been a bulwark against collectivists and dictators. And the US middle class is starting to wake up to the reality of Obama. It is growing angry.

The frustration of the middle class is the angry confusion of people who can appreciate the opportunities Big Government denies them. It is the anxiety of those who hear the businesses who employ them relentlessly demonized, while the ruling class is never held responsible for its foolishness, waste, and theft. It is the resentment of people who suffer through disasters that President Obama and his allies regard as opportunities. It’s the hearty distrust of a State, and its media apparatus, that declares every frigid blast of bad economic news to be “unexpected” – but expects us to believe it can predict market fluctuations, technological advances, and even the global climate.

The President says “I have every interest in seeing a unified country solving big problems.” The rest of us have an interest in being allowed to pursue our individual solutions to those problems, according to the liberties our Constitution says belong to us as absolutely as our souls. We can see the wreckage of those “unified” solutions strewn through our past, and littering the rest of the world. Our frustration is born of intelligence and moral strength, not stubborn blindness. _TheGreenroom

There is nothing new about Obama's incompetence. What is new is the growing public comprehension of the invisible nature of the emperor's suit. Obama has always lacked leadership ability. But the news and entertainment media have been willing to provide a smokescreen to hide the man's incompetence -- until now.

It was easy to get caught up in the Obama crusade -- for those who had never had an original thought, for those who had nothing truly important to accomplish, and for those who saw an opportunity to advance their own selfish goals under the cover of a populist crusade. But as the destruction grows and as failure mounts, it is not so easy to ignore the sense of an approaching abyss.

Can politics save a nation from the disaster that politics has created? No. But it can delay and mitigate the disaster long enough for the more thoughtful and competent ones to prepare.

Slavery Is Making a Global Comeback Under Obama

Slavery is an ancient economic institution that is enjoying a global comeback, helped along by the global recession. Most prominent in Africa and the Muslim world, slavery is also common in Southeast Asia, Korea, and even China. Girls of Europe (primarily Eastern Europe) are promised lives of opportunity, then transported internationally for use in brothels. Young girls of Asia are sold by their peasant families to brothels in the city. Young women of the Philippines and Malaysia seek profitable work in the Persian Gulf states, and end up as domestic slaves -- subject to abuse and sometimes murder.

Under communist regimes such as those of Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, and Kim, slavery was (and is) used for punishment and "political re-education". Even in Europe, Oceania, and North America, hopeful starry-eyed immigrants get channeled into human trafficking pipelines run by organised crime and held against their will, forced to work. Mr. Obama pictures himself as the champion of redistributive and retributive social justice. Hope for the downtrodden, raparations for the wronged, retribution against the historical capitalist engines of injustice -- particularly the private sector of the US and allies.

Slavery has always existed -- it fills an economic niche in virtually every economic system known to man. Only since the coming of capitalism combined with constitutional republics and liberal democracies, has slavery been largely driven out of advanced countries. Free markets create excess wealth which seeks the most efficient use for generating more profits. Slavery is relatively inefficient when compared with the work of free men and / or machines. But under conditions of massive, widespread economic hardship, the supply of "quasi slaves" grows so large that the price for them is cheap.

By destroying the private sector of the US -- the global engine of free markets and non-coercive prosperity -- Mr. Obama is bringing back the conditions that have always contributed to human slavery and trafficking throughout history. By creating the conditions for a massive resurgence of coercive labour, Mr. Obama stands to become the largest slave creator in human history.

Many productive persons in the US are beginning to feel like slaves, themselves. As Mr. Obama's vision for America becomes more and more clear to the persons whose imagination and creative labour have boosted and sustained America's economy for decades, they begin to consider alternatives. John Galt alternatives. Mr. Obama's new slaves begin considering ways off the plantation.

It is an ugly world that Mr. Obama is attempting to bring about -- a world of massive poverty and human exploitation. Will you join with Mr. Obama and Mr. Soros to help bring this world about? Or will you go Galt?

US Has Over 2.5 Trillion Barrels of Shale Oil

...the U.S. has the world’s largest reserves of oil shale, and the government earlier this year added 500 billion barrels of shale oil to the official estimates, bringing the total to 2.6 trillion barrels. America currently uses about seven billion barrels of oil per year. _Examiner

If we assume that we can only recover 1 trillion barrels of the almost 3 trillion barrels available, shale oil alone would provide over a hundred years of oil to the US at current consumption -- which is certain to go down over time! And that is ignoring Canada's trillions of barrels of oil sands. Obama's energy plan is to buy oil from Libya, Venezuela, Russia, and other dictatorships who sponsor terrorism.

The economy is in for big trouble under Obama and his zombie crew. While oil companies overseas are making huge new discoveries, US crews are prevented from exploring. Jobs continue to disappear. The mortgage crisis is poised for another big crash. The derivatives disaster is still waiting in the wings. And even normally optimistic entrepreneurs are coming down with the blues:

In the past year, more than one-third of the entrepreneurs surveyed have shed jobs while only five percent of entrepreneurs have added employees. A majority of entrepreneurs believe that the stimulus package has hurt entrepreneurial activity, and entrepreneurs want government to pursue a fundamentally different approach to encourage entrepreneurship.

..."Pessimism and revenue loss among entrepreneurs on the front lines of the economy indicate that the fruits of economic recovery have yet to hit Main Street," Schramm said.

Other key findings include:

* 69 percent of entrepreneurs believe the recession will last one to two years longer
* 75 percent think the United States cannot have a sustained economic recovery without another burst of entrepreneurial activity

Pollster Doug Schoen surveyed more than 250 entrepreneurs and 150 "would-be" entrepreneurs from Sept. 8 to Sept. 12, 2009. An entrepreneur was defined as someone who has started a business and is currently running it. _Financial Armageddon

Jon Stewart asks "where were all the real journalists on this story?" Why is it that time after time, whenever more shady facts come out that reflect badly on Obama, the mainstream media tries to hide behind the curtains? It seems the US needs a different way of learning about current events. The skank media they have just doesn't cut it.

ACORN is Obama, and Obama is ACORN. The two movements are joined at the crux, and when the time comes for the president to throw the quasi-criminal community organisation under the bus -- he may hesitate. Once that denial and betrayal has taken place, existential confusion may well set in.

The difference between celebrations by stakeholders and celebrations by freeloaders is the aftermath. Anyone who has rented property has probably experienced this difference of mindset.

The trick in renting property profitably is to filter out the freeloader mentality before signing the rental contract. The trick in electing and building good government is quite similar.

In fact, the Obama administration is just organised crime on a national scale. Look at the blatant political firing of a government inspector-general, hot on the trail of Obama era corruption in stimulus funds. And this is just the beginning for Brocko, crime boss and godfather extraordinaire.

Grand and sweeping new Obama era regulations will cost the economy well over a trillion dollars. Other new Obama reich regulations threaten to place ever more economic transations under The Outfit's thumb.

But Brocko is just getting started on his crime spree takeover of the US economy. Just wait until he gets his Obamacare Medical Caper going. Then you'll see programmed entitlement growth and regulation expansion out the schnazoo.

Politician, crime boss, master magician -- all of these descriptions and more apply to Brocko da Bomba.

If you believe the Brocko story will have a happy ending for anyone concerned, you should go out and invest all you have in the stock market, in commodities, in real estate, in government bonds -- and contribute to the ongoing Obama campaign that never ends.

Reality Poses Annoying Distraction for Obama

It is not only pirates that pose an annoying distraction for the clown president. The whole world distracts most annoyingly from the main attraction on the stage, The One, Dear Leader, Messiah for Life.

As it happens, Somali piracy is not a distraction, but a glimpse of the world the day after tomorrow. In my book America Alone, I quote Robert D. Kaplan referring to the lawless fringes of the map as “Indian Territory.” It’s a droll jest but a misleading one, since the very phrase presumes that the badlands will one day be brought within the bounds of the ordered world. In fact, a lot of today’s badlands were relatively ordered not so long ago, and many of them are getting badder and badder by the day.

...According to Chatham House in London, Somali pirates made about $30 million in ransom and booty last year. Thirty mil goes a long way in Somalia, making piracy a very attractive proposition. It’s also a low-risk one. Once upon a time we killed and captured pirates. _Steyn

It is all just so much bother, for Dear Leader. He would much prefer to travel the world giving speeches before large and adoring crowds. The world will get better, just give him time. The world is already a much better place for the Obamas and friends, for George Soros, Goldman Sachs, the Chicago mafia, and the entire web of "Friends and Sponsors of Lord Barry." This year the blossoms bloom brighter, songbirds sing sweeter, and grass grows greener, thanks to The One.

It's their party and they can re-distribute wealth and make payoffs to cronies if they want to. But somewhere in all the trillion dollar deficits, you would hope that the zombie-masters would apply some genuine stimulation to the real economy. Not paybacks to big Democratic Party donours and supporters. Not an expansion of welfare back to pre-reform levels. Not an economy-killing energy policy that drives us all even deeper into recession. We have too much of that from the Jolly Green Messiah already. The real economy is being choked out of existence in the midst of unprecedented government spending -- of other people's money, and of money that does not even exist.

Federal policy is damaging the economy’s prospects. It fails to provide the needed tax incentives for investment in factories and equipment, incentives that were central to efforts to revive the economy during the Kennedy-Johnson era and under Ronald Reagan. But government spending can’t lead the way to sustained recovery, because its stimulating effect will be offset by anticipated higher taxes and the need to finance the deficit.

Heavy-handed federal intervention into the management of companies from banks to auto makers will also delay recovery. And misguided efforts to help distressed homeowners by permitting courts to rewrite the terms of mortgages will cause banks to limit mortgage lending, which will prevent housing from contributing to the recovery. _NYT

The US economy is nothing like it was in the 1930s. In some ways, it is much worse. When confidence in the US dollar finally erodes away, there is nothing to stop the economy's fall but a vast vacuum created by trillion dollar deficits -- courtesy of Dear Leader Obama-Messiah. These are the times for making alternative plans. Hope for the best. Plan for the worst.

Meanwhile, China is sinking billions of dollars into investments in the Caribbean and Latin America, building influence in the backyard of Obama and his zombie horde. Russia is likewise solidifying military alliances with Venezuela and Cuba. Weak presidents -- like Carter was and Obama is -- open the door to their country's enemies. China and Russia would be no kind of enemy at all, were they to turn down this opportunity. And despite significant problems at home, neither Russia nor China would dare pass up a chance to weaken the influence of the mutual bane to their individual dreams of world hegemony.

California Accounts for 2/3 of US Housing Losses

This is not a thinking person's congress, and Obama is not a thinking person's president. Whatever voters thought they would get by voting for Obama, they are in for an unpleasant surprise. ...Democrats will take the stimulus increases and make them part of a new, higher baseline for future spending growth. Anyone who proposes to cut from that amount will be denounced as "heartless" and Draconian.

The Republican staff of the House Budget Committee has calculated what happens to future spending if Congress continues to fund 19 of the most politically untouchable programs at their new stimulus levels. The list of 19 includes Pell Grants, Head Start money for poor kids, nutrition programs for seniors, Medicaid, special education, food stamps and cancer research at the National Institutes of Health, among others. Across a 10-year period through 2019, these 19 programs alone would increase federal outlays and tax entitlements by $1.59 trillion.

The nearby chart shows how the bill will increase the 2009 budget deficit, which is already the largest in modern history. Perhaps you recall the deficit wails from the Reagan years, but the peak deficit was only 6% of GDP in 1983. In the Clinton years we were told taxes had to rise to reduce a deficit of merely 3.9% of GDP. CBO estimates the 2009 deficit will reach 8.3% of the economy, not including the stimulus or bank bailout cash. Toss in those, and analysts at the Strategas Group estimate the deficit could hit nearly $2 trillion, or 13.5% of the U.S. economy. _WSJ

The Obama plan: Borrow more money than the world's economy can support, and consolidate power through any mechanism imaginable. The American people haven't a clue what this power grab is leading up to. The rest of the world is even less prepared.

But it is good news for all the dictators of the world who couldn't wait to see the collapse of Pax Americana. The world is departing the era of any pretense to the rule of law, and returning to the historical stand-by era of the rule of strong and ruthless men.

If the strongest and most ruthless men hail from Russia or China, the world will assume a certain form. If the strongest and most ruthless men hail from Pakistan, Caracas, or Lagos, the world will assume a quite different form.

The rules are changing. Wait and see, or take steps to prepare. Your choice.

Truly Tough People Temper in the Fire

The reaction of the intellectual elite to Sarah Palin was far more provincial than Palin herself ever has been, and those who reacted so viscerally against her evinced little or no appreciation for an essential premise of democracy: that practical wisdom matters at least as much as formal education, and that leadership can emerge from utterly unexpected places. The presumption that the only road to power passes through the Ivy League and its tributaries is neither democratic nor sensible, and is, moreover, a sharp and wrongheaded break from the American tradition of citizen governance. _Commentary

America's effete elite got exactly who they wanted in the White House. Someone who talks and thinks like themselves. Someone as equally untouched and untempered by real life, but with the proper degrees, friends, and attitude toward centralised control from "the top".

Meanwhile, America's schools and culture continues growing a large crop of perpetual adolescent incompetents, who take their cues from the effete elite via the entertainment and news media. The zombies of Obamby-land. Quite useful one day every two years, and particularly useful one day every four years. Otherwise, brain-dead zombies to be "managed."

If you learned the hard lessons of self-reliance, personal competencies, and working within the rules of society, you may not know how to talk the talk and walk the walk of the effete elite. If so, too bad for you if you want to break into national politics.

The reaction to Palin revealed a deep and intense cultural paranoia on the Left: an inclination to see retrograde reaction around every corner, and to respond to it with vile anger. A confident, happy, and politically effective woman who was also a social conservative was evidently too much to bear. The response of liberal feminists was in this respect particularly telling, and especially unpleasant.

“Her greatest hypocrisy is her pretense that she is a woman,” wrote Wendy Doniger, a professor at the University of Chicago. “Having someone who looks like you and behaves like them,” said Gloria Steinem, “who looks like a friend but behaves like an adversary, is worse than having no one.”

...In the end, Palin had a modest impact on the race. About 60 percent of those interviewed in the exit polls said McCain’s choice of Palin had been a factor in their vote. Of these, 56 percent voted for McCain while only 43 percent voted for Obama. In other words, she appears to have helped McCain more than she hurt him, but not by much, which is as it should be; we were voting for a President, after all. In the face of unprecedented attack, Palin succeeded where almost no vice-presidential candidate ever has before in winning sustained support for the ticket. _Commentary

Palin had real problems as a candidate. The news and entertainment media locked onto those weaknesses, and magnified them out of all reason and proportion. With Obama, they took exactly the opposite tack, and ignored any hint of weakness or deficiency.

They got what they wanted. And they continue to cover-up and obfuscate the huge problems of their Messiah. Zombies walk the land, oblivious. But real people, tough people, are tempered in the fire of real life. They keep living, keep growing, and keep getting tougher, because they face life full-on.

A society that grows top-heavy with a scummy faux elite, such as current American society, will eventually undergo significant changes. These changes will leave the unprepared, largely incompetent elite at a loss. The generations of zombies, psychological neotenates, are already lost -- beyond everything except technological revolutions that can remake their minds into those of real people. It's possible.

Obama / Pelosi : Pissing Away the Tax Revenues of Future Generations On Short-term Bandaids That Don't Solve Our Problems

The problem with this country is we spent all of our time and resources creating money out of thin air using leverage and smoke and mirrors or serving each other lattes. America needs to produce actual stuff in order to get back on our feet. The government can spend money wisely to steer us down that path...or it can continue to piss away the tax revenue of future generations on short term Band-Aids that don't solve our problems. _MotleyFool

The US is poised on the brink of a disastrous monetary and budgetary policy that will destroy the surviving financial infrastructure of the country, along with any reasonable prospects for an early recovery. We are being given a gargantuan "recovery bill" that is all about political retrenchment for democratic party supporters. Not a recovery bill at all, but rather a wealth transfer bill from producers to political hacks, financial vultures, and non-producers.

If you have worked hard, followed the rules, paid your bills and taxes -- too bad. Unless you are politically well-placed to benefit under the Obama / Pelosi reich, you are only the main course. By the time this financial wrecking ball has done its demolition, your hard-earned assets will be worth a fraction of their current value, unless you make timely preparations.

It is thus almost a dead certainty that the combination of wasteful Keynesian spending (if you will ignore the tautology) and supply-side effects would produce a sharp spike in inflation that is designed to buttress the ability of borrowers to repay their obligations while rendering the value of their payments almost moot for lenders.

Asians [ed: and others] have saved a lot since the end of the Asian financial crisis, but will find an acceleration of wealth diminution upon them in months to come. Their only defense against this course of action that the G-7 countries have embarked on would be to boycott all debt issuances from the US and Europe over the near-term until yields rise fast and far enough to compensate for inflationary risks. Unless this can be pushed through, the only safe assets would be those that can hold a degree of their purchasing power,namely physical commodities and, of course, precious metals such as gold. _AsiaTimes

Inflation makes it easier for debtors to repay their debts. Since the US government is the big daddy of debtors, it makes sense for Obama and Pelosi to flush the dollar's value down the toilet. They can run the printing presses all night long. When will they start printing a $1 Billion bank note? Give them time.

During the stock panic, central banks around the world panicked. They fear deflation too, so they started cranking up the printing presses at phenomenal rates. The epic deluge of money they unleashed is going to filter into the real economy and drive up general price levels.

You can see this above in MZM growth. The US economy is shrinking thanks to the panic, there are less goods and services on which to spend money. Yet simultaneously the Fed is recklessly ramping broad money at double-digit rates. Sooner or later relatively more money will be bidding for relatively less goods and services, which will drive up prices. You simply can’t have 10%+ MZM growth without seeing big inflation eventually. _SeekingAlpha

Economists and bankers have leveraged themselves up into the stratosphere. Without hyper-leverage buoying them up, they get a strong sinking feeling in their stomachs. The world economy lost a lot of leverage when the commodities boom busted,and home price drops triggering the sub-prime bubble burst. A lot of big-money shops had to close their doors or get bought out. Nowhere to run, hide, shelter, or hedge. The ivy league whizzards [sic-pun] on Wall Street ran out of government sanctioned magic wands.

The direct result was the election of Obama-Messiah, Saviour to the world. Everything the Obama / Pelosi reich is doing now is for short term advantage. Empower the get out the vote for 2010 by giving billions to ACORN. Firm up the DP alliance with the public employees unions, trial lawyers, news media, and low income voters. First assure the retention of power. Then if anything is left over, perhaps you should try to help the economy.

Unfortunately, by the time the reich gets around to constructive purposes, the foundations will have been undermined -- perhaps beyond repair. Take care of your own future, the O / P reich only looks out for its own.

Waiting for Obama to Arrive and Reveal Himself

Apart from ambition, there is no "there" there. There are as many Obamas as there are interlocutors. He is a hollow man, I concluded, a Third World anthropologist studying us with engaged curiosity but complete emotional detachment. In this respect he is unpredictable. _Spengler

Some people simply never truly arrive. They project an image to make others believe they are there, but each believer is merely seeing an illusion conjured up by his own mind.

From the day Obama was elected to 9:30am Tokyo time on Monday morning, the S&P 500 index has lost 17% of its value, after absorbing Obama's proposed cabinet and hearing the gist of his economic stimulus plan. That can't be blamed on Bush. It counts as the "Obama crash". With the unprecedented power of his office, Obama inherits a commensurately high level of accountability. Unless he offers something radically different, the boomerang of expectations could flatten him faster and more thoroughly than the swift ascent of his star. People in power get blamed; people with absolute power get blamed absolutely. As the economy continues to deteriorate, there will be no one left standing to blame but Obama.

Ah, but Spengler, anything and everything can and will be blamed on Bush. The habit for doing so is too deeply engrained within what passes for brains, in the skulls of American media. Still, the credibility of the media has been in even steeper freefall than the value of the real estate in California.

He will make resonant speeches, hold frequent press conferences, consult friend and foe alike, and tread water while America's economy and strategic position continue to deteriorate. His entourage of one-trick wizards, as I called them in a recent commentary, will pick over the broken American economy for trophies to put into private equity funds... Without casting aspersions on anyone involved, the opportunity for self-dealing in a multi-trillion-dollar bailout-cum-recapitalization of the financial system exceeds the grandest dreams of Third World kleptocrats.

At a certain point he will have to take a decisive stand on something. And then we will learn who Obama is, and what he wants

Decisive? Obama? My dear Spengler, you really must be thinking of someone else who goes by that name. The reason Obama is unpredictable, as you say, is because frankly there is no Obama. The person inside the shell who was supposed to have developed, never coalesced. America has elected a shell as its leader.

Perhaps the shell popularly known as Obama, believed that being elected president would provide enough external energy of affirmation to conjure a self -- like Pinocchio becoming a "real boy", the android Mr. Data becoming a human, or Sally Field becoming a "real actress" because "you really like me!" No such luck.

So America is left waiting for Obama. Will he ever arrive? I hope you brought enough sandwiches to share, and perhaps a little wine. Make yourself comfortable.
