New Chimeric Lamb--Warns Against Global Warming
Scientists at the Univeristy of Nevada have developed a sheep that is 15% human. As pictured above, it is quoted as saying that global warming is baaaaad!
Scientists have created the world's first human-sheep chimera - which has the body of a sheep and half-human organs.Source
The sheep have 15 per cent human cells and 85 per cent animal cells - and their evolution brings the prospect of animal organs being transplanted into humans one step closer.
Professor Esmail Zanjani, of the University of Nevada, has spent seven years and £5million perfecting the technique, which involves injecting adult human cells into a sheep's foetus.
...Scientists at King's College, London, and the North East Stem Cell Institute in Newcastle have now applied to the HFEA, the Government's fertility watchdog, for permission to start work on the chimeras.
The chimeric animals would allow better animal models for human disease research, and might allow animal to human organ transplantation with less risk of rejection. There is the risk of transferring animal viruses to humans.
Most scientists believe that the anti-global warming aspect of the chimeric sheep to be a bug, although Al Gore has stated publically that he sees it as more of a feature.

Heh, did you crop that yourself?
Regarding your perspective post: Humbling. Well done (doesn't seem to allow for comments).
Also, the putative dysgenics of CAGW: Bogus. Almost certainly it would have, if anything, a thoroughly eugenic effect--more land in colder, higher IQ climates, making affordable family formation more tenable in these places.
Conversely, areas closer to the equator would suffer in several ways. The ability to survive in the cold obviously isn't anywhere near the top of the list of powerful factors selecting for intelligence today.
Guilty.
I was surprised myself at the range of sizes of the stars. I've seen the numbers, but never actually visualized the difference before.
CAGW makes sense when you see it as Al Gore's revenge for not having been elected US President in 2000. Think of Al Gore as Zeus.
