5th Carnival of Nuclear Energy at NextBigFuture
Brian Wang hosted the 5th Blog Carnival of Nuclear Energy last weekend at NextBigFuture. There has been a desperate need for such an updated collection of the best nuclear blogging, and Brian and other nuclear bloggers have stepped up to the plate.
2. Nuclear Fissionary has an article on energy density and waste comparison of energy production.
3. India's long term nuclear development plans at Nucleargreen.
Much more from the 5th Carnival of Nuclear Energy at NextBigFuture -- including new nuclear fusion research breakthroughs and news about Cold Fusion and Blacklight Power.

Nuclear fuel rods are typically burned three times, and are rotated every 18 months. Technically then a fuel assembly will last for 4.5 years bringing the total nuclear waste down significantly.
Interesting, thanks.
A lot of ideas are circulating for extending the life of a given mass of fuel -- annular fuel rods, for example.
The idea of combining Generation III reactors with Generation IV reactors strikes me as the best way to extend the life of nuclear fuel.
