Blog Carnivals and Blog Wars
Three of my favourite blog carnivals are up:
Tangled Bank #92 is hosted at PaddyK. A veritable biological cornucopia.
Carnival of Space #28 is hosted at The Planetary Society. The latest in space news and commentary.
Encephalon #35 is hosted at The Primate Diaries. The premiere neuroscience blog carnival.
And what "blog wars," you may ask? Well, the voting for the Best Science Blog concludes today, and number 3 in the running, Pharyngula by PZ Myers, is throwing out some feces tainted mud at a fellow science blog that is running a bit ahead currently. The remaining blog in top three running, Bad Astronomy Blog, is trying to stay above the fray--good on him!
These contests sometimes bring out the worst in otherwise civilised bloggers. Here's hoping that all concerned are capable of recovering from partisan squabbles soon enough to resume science blogging tomorrow!

In case anyone wonders. The above pic is from the carnival of Basel, switzerland (my hometown :) ).
Thanks for the information, curious.
It looks like fun.
There must be something wrong with your links - you talk about a "fellow science blog", but links to ClimateAudit. What science blog did you try to link to?
Welcome, Kristjan.
Since you fail to present any supporting evidence for your off-handed claim that the excellent science blog Climate Audit is not actually a science blog, the message you are actually sending is:
1. Kristjan Wagner has never actually read Climate Audit blog carefully.
or
2. Kristjan Wagner suffers from the rather common affliction of "science blindness", analogous to colour blindness for vision.
You see, sometimes the message you send is not the one you had intended.
I have no clue what's wrong with "Kristjan Wagner" - I can only speak for myself.
I've read Climate Audit in the past, but stopped when it became apparent that it was non-scientific nitpicking , with the sole purpose of trying to spread a false feeling of debate about the current state of science. In this respect, it's pretty similar to the Discovery Institute, though they have managed to make a few minor (and make no mistake, they were minor) corrections to the data, which is of course more than the Intelligent Design crowd have managed.
To call Climate Audit a science blog, is to make a mockery of science, and the hard work that scientists do.
It is always possible to find flaws in e.g. data and articles, but that doesn't mean that you can justifiable claim that those flaws invalidates the science behind them. Unless of course those flaws leads to discovering inconsistencies in the results and the science - that's hardly the case when we are speaking AGW. Something the experts agree on all over the world.
Thanks, Tristjan for finally coming out and stating what you meant to say in the beginning.
Curiously, I find that my work with psychotic patients helps me to clarify the verbal intentions of normal people as well. A bit of blog comment psychology.
;-)
Significantly you fail to point out any errors in the scientific auditing done by Climate Audit blog. Instead, it is Climate Audit that has a long record of pointing out significant errors by "real scientists." Errors that significantly affect the validity of the more alarmist predictions of catastrophic anthropogenic global warming.
Try harder, Tristjan. In order to prove that CA is not a "real science blog," you must do a better job.
