Gaza and the Arab Death Cult
Some of you may remember when the word "Beirut" was shorthand for bloody barbaric anarchy. Now the word is "Gaza." If only the barbarity were limited to a single city or strip of coast. Unfortunately, the seeds of this death cult seem to lie within Arab Islam.We need to stop making politically correct excuses. Arab civilization is in collapse. Extremes dominate, either through dictatorship or anarchy. Thanks to their dysfunctional values and antique social structures, Arab states can't govern themselves decently.Source
We gave them a chance in Iraq. Israel "gave back" the Gaza Strip to let the Palestinians build a model state. Arabs seized those opportunities to butcher each other.
The barbarity in Gaza has become so grotesque that not even the media's apologists for terror can ignore it (especially since Islamist fanatics began to target journalists).
Over the weekend, Hamas gangbangers-for-Allah grabbed a Fatah functionary and dropped him from the roof of a high-rise to check out the law of gravity (the only law that still obtains in Gaza). Tit-for-tat, Fatah gunmen grabbed a Hamas capo and gave him the same treatment.
Of course, we are accustomed to seeing Arabs behead innocent bystanders they have snatched off the streets. But usually they could connect these innocents with Zionists or Crusaders, somehow. In Gaza we are seeing what this generation of Arabs is all about. It is not just Gazans. It is not just Palestinian Arabs. Clearly when you look at the state of world terrorism, you can trace most of it to its source in Arab Islam.
Iran would probably protest and say that it deserves a lot of the credit for muslim bloodletting today. Perhaps. But it is the Arabs who participate most enthusiastically, regardless of where you look. Or, in the case of muslim violence in Europe, it is Arab-inspired and financed extremist mosques that serve as the focus for Islamic Supremacist violence.
So, what is wrong with arabs?

It can't be anything genetic because the variance in heritable characteristics within a single race is always much greater than the average variance between races. Simply put, we're all the same species, more genetically homogeneous than most other species, primarily due to the to the Toba catastrophe in which the human population was reduced to only 10,000-100,000 breeding pairs, a population bottleneck.
So the Arab problem must be cultural. And if it is cultural, it can theoretically be fixed. The availability of information that can't be refused, i.e., cheap mobile internet devices and AI-mediated instant translations, could help improve the situation - as long as they are not outlawed.
Interesting POV re: genetic vs. cultural. A cultural etiology would certainly be more optimistic, I agree.
Population genetics research suggests that much less time than 75,000 years is needed for significant genetic divergence to occur.
The high rate of consanguinous first cousin marriage in arab populations can accelerate genetic divergence.
I suspect that a combination of cultural and genetic factors are in play.

The greater-variance-within-than-between is a rehasing of the Lewontin fallacy. Would you say the same thing in terms of economics--since there is more variance within racial groups than between them, we have no social problem with wealth inequality?
There is more variance between the ability of Tom Brady and New England's third-string QB than there is between the Patriots and the Falcons. So is the difference in skill level between New England and Atlanta therefore meaningless?
I think the problem is both cultural and biological. Half of Iraqi men are married to a second cousin or closer. In the West Bank, the rate is probably greater than that. The average IQ in Iraq is estimated to be 87. Ashkenazi Israel couldn't contrast more with the West Bank and Gaza than it does, even though the physical environments are very similar.

Bad leadership. Popular acceptance of bad leadership. Not enough resistance individually or collectively to allowing themselves to be used by others. I do not think it is necessarily a race thing. It is victim psychology and rampant gangsterism.
Those in charge directed and encouraging hate instead of solving real problems.
Holding centuries of grudges and being unwilling to move on, live in the now and figuring out how to make things better now.
These are not necessarily race specific problems but certain cultures and people get caught in these kinds of collective mental traps. If a critical threshold of powerful bad apples is exceeded then violence can spiral out of control then it becomes very tough to turn it around.
It does not help that the many areas and the people get used as pawns and patsies. Lebanon as good for quite a while before enough of them allowed themselves to be used as pawns by Iran and Syria and other places.

Russia has pretty bad problems of a gangster-ocracy.
Black america has some pretty bad segments with gang culture and violence and victim psychology.

Places and people that go from dictatorships to chaos and warlords.
There is also the issue of how much competence and long term thinking even non-democratic forms of government can have. China was able to turn it around from Mao. China historically had long periods of good leadership. Deng Xiaoping was key. Overseas chinese were willing to help turn it around with money and know how as China opened up starting even before Deng with Mao and Nixon.
Sometime you need truly or nearly selfless heroes to step up. Arabs did have Anwar Sadat. UAE and Dubai seem to work fine.
Black America did have Martin Luther King. There are some leaders (Bill Cosby and others) in Black america talking about taking personal responsibility and look first at fixing their own problems and not blaming white americans.
I think it's definitely cultural - I know Americans of Arab decent who are "normal" functioning members of this society. Also, I have had conversations with many of the little convenience store owners recently arrived in he U.S. who are deliriously happy to be away from the madness over there.
You'll hear from certain commentators and celebrities that Arabs become terrorists because of the poverty and historical injustice brought upon them by big bad America (and little bad Israel) but enough scholars have discredited this nonsense. The hate and intolerance is learned by constant repetition just like we here in America are constantly told that conservatives are mean, that they all hate black people and gays or that they are dumb.
If you soak a rag in gasoline long enough you will never get the smell out, and it eventually will burst into flames...
