Inflatable Survival Home from Four Foot Cube

Just pop the lever on your 4X4X4 survival cube et voila! An almost-instant inflatable 12 foot high survival home containing "a bed, a couch, freeze-dried food, a 50-gallon water bladder, a first-aid kit, a radio and a cookstove". Not bad for a package you can easily carry on the back of your 4X4 pickup bugout vehicle. You know, the one you always keep fueled up, just in case?
Designed to provide shelter and basic amenities for people in the days and weeks after a disaster, the instant housing will come with a $3,900 price tag, so the company's first market could be wealthy survivalists.

"We need a versatile design that is completely self-contained that gives you instant survival," said Nick Pedersen, business development head of the fledgling startup, based in Santa Barbara, California. "We'll get you through the critical first 72 hours and beyond." _Wired
In the coming Obamanation and Obamaworld, wise persons will take nothing for granted. As new taxes and government regulations swirl like autumn leaves, it may feel as if the ground is shifting under your feet. But stay calm, and continue making plans for likely discontinuities that may occur.

Obama's personal brand of revolution may well come into conflict with the dominant revolutionary ideologies of the Democrats who control congress. Getting such disjoint and counterproductive visions implemented into law may take some time. But do not rely on an extended planning time buffer. These ideologues are of the sort who will not hesitate to destroy the country and the world in order to save them. Make your plans accordingly.

If you already have a viable bugout destination prepared, well and good. But if not, consider your options for quick construction methods, for when you have only limited time to prepare. Make sure your basic needs are covered--water, food, shelter, sanitation, energy....

Once you are assured on that account, it will be time to lay the foundation for a parallel society that may not include or require your country's government in order to function smoothly. Technology is just now supplying us with many of the tools we will need to implement such an alternate world.
